Obligations of Parents
1. Digital Citizenship and Safety
Parents are obligated to monitor and guide their child’s online activities and device usage. This includes ensuring responsible screen time, understanding the school’s acceptable use policy, and immediately reporting any instances of cyberbullying or online misconduct to the school.
2. Prioritizing Holistic Well-being
Parents must ensure their child’s overall well-being by providing adequate sleep, proper nutrition, and necessary medical/dental care. They must also promptly communicate any significant emotional, mental, or physical health issues (including changes in medication or major family events) that may affect the child’s behavior or performance in school.
3. Partnership in School Discipline
Parents are required to actively support the school’s rules of discipline and code of conduct by reinforcing consequences and corrective measures at home. This is a partnership to ensure consistent boundaries and respect for authority.
4. Timely and Clear Communication
Parents must ensure all contact information (phone numbers, email, address) are of current usage and accurate and commit to responding to school communications (emails, calls, notices) within a reasonable timeframe
